What We Do
Colorado Legends and Legacies Youth Corps crews work exclusively on public lands – those lands owned by federal, state, and local agencies operated for the use and enjoyment of the public. This includes forests, grasslands, historic monuments, parks, open spaces, recreation areas, campuses, and museums.

Education:
CLLYC crews receive project-specific environmental education. Very often these lessons are given by park rangers, natural resources specialists, foresters, land managers, and wildlife technicians who are employed on-site where we are working.

Crewmembers also receive job and life skills training such as resume preparation, interviewing, budgeting, proper nutrition, team building, and leadership.
 |
Living Outdoors:
Our camping crews learn and practice “leave no trace” camping skills. CLLYC provides the tents and camp kitchen gear for the crew. Crewmembers bring their own sleeping bags and backpacks. |
